Who is AgriProve?

AgriProve is the leading soil carbon project developer in Australia. We partner with farmers to enable them to participate in soil carbon projects under the ACCU Scheme. AgriProve has developed a proven partnership model that is easy for farmers to participate in and trusted by the Clean Energy Regulator (CER).

We’ve played a central role in developing Australia’s soil carbon methodology, which generates high-integrity Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) issued by the CER. While there are other credits available, ACCUs are backed by the Australian Government and can be sold to the Australian Government or private corporations that need to offset their emissions, or traded on the CER or voluntary markets.

The AgriProve project model removes risk and project administration from farmers, leaving them to focus on building soil carbon. When partnering with AgriProve, farmers receive 75% of the ACCUs generated, while AgriProve manages the project administration and takes on the risk, including managing compliance and ongoing measurement costs. It’s also a success fee model – if you don’t get paid, AgriProve doesn’t get paid.

What will AgriProve do for me?

  • manage all project administration, soil measurement, audits, claiming and sale of ACCUs
  • ensure compliance under ACCU Scheme methodology to generate high-quality credits with guaranteed market and floor price
  • design projects to maximise the chance of success and number of ACCUs
  • remove project risk and obligations from farmers, with nothing registered on the land title and no risk of having to hand back ACCUs even if the farm is sold or passed to family members
  • charges no upfront fees.

What solutions does AgriProve to address challenges under the 2021 Soil Carbon Method?

  • Developed our own registration portal, which connects directly with the CER’s systems to increase the speed and ease of registering projects
  • Utilise digital monitoring to assist with regulatory requirements (speed of registration and ongoing monitoring)
  • Developed a land management strategy with built-in flexibility for farm management.
